Bosch has been present in Malaysia since 1923, represented by Robert Bosch Sdn Bhd, with offices located in Selangor and Penang. In Malaysia, Bosch has diversified businesses in Mobility Solutions, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, and Energy and Building Technology. The company has three manufacturing plants in Penang providing Car Multimedia, Power Tools and Automotive Steering systems. • Compile and maintain the packaging specification data in Packaging Data Sheet for new components at the level of individual packaging, intermediate packaging, and palletized unit.
• Identify and implement cost saving initiatives related to packaging materials, labor, efficiency, transportation, and storage.
• Work closely with Supplier Mentors from Purchasing Department to ensure global suppliers adhere to Bosch packaging standards and guidelines established.
• Work closely with project teams to optimize packaging supply base for cost, lead time, quality, regionalization, standardization, supply assurance, and compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.
• Act as a window for logistics quality topics to manage the complaints from suppliers, customers and Logistics Service Providers regards to packaging quality issues and drive continuous improvement processes to overcome the issues.
• Work closely with other functions and overseas teams to meet package, performance, and attribute requirements.
• Support PT/LOG and the global business units on continuous improvement projects, e.g., container optimization, optimized packaging design for manufacturability and transportation etc.
• Periodically review and update the standards of good practices in the Plant Logistics Packaging Requirements Report.
• Establish standards of lashing and securing the cargoes inside the container for inbound and outbound shipment.
• Moderate, review and update LOG process FMEA and Control Plan.
• Coordinating the Handling of Dangerous Goods.
• Any other duties assigned by Immediate Superior from time to time.

• Degree in any discipline with related working experience. Mechanical Engineering would be an advantage.
• Minimum 4 years working experience in logistic function in pack, ship, storage, transportation, and shipment arrangement in manufacturing environment is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate to all levels of management, and cross functionally with business partners.
• Strong leadership skills and effective coordination internally and externally business partners to achieve work result.
• Strong technical knowledge of cargo packaging theories fundamentals.
• Meticulous, result oriented, motivated, self-starter, ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently.
• Be flexible to take on ad-hoc assignment or project as necessary.
• Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Understand impact and consequences of own actions.
• Knowledge in moderating product/process FMEA.
• Knowledge of work safety and transporting hazardous materials is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Reporting Software such as Excel, Power Point, etc.
