As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Chassis Design Engineer to join our team that services the high-speed networking and data center market.As a Chassis Design Engineer, this role will be leading and contributing to the design and development of electrical chassis structures and mechanisms from concept to production. This design engineer will create models and drawings for sales, manufacturing, mechanical analysis, and production. This person will work cross functionally with a talent team of engineers, Marketing, Manufacturing, Electrical, Quality and software teams.What You Will Do In Your Role

• Lead the design and development of chassis structures for electromechanical products and connectors, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, PCB designers, Sourcing, and manufacturing engineers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components.
• Perform detailed analysis and evaluation of product designs, utilizing tools such as Kinematic Studies, DFM, NUUD, and TA to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential design limitations and propose effective solutions.
• Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate design concepts and optimize product performance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, assisting in their professional development.
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source components and materials, ensuring compliance with cost and quality targets.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of prototypes, analyzing test data and implementing design improvements as necessary.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements, incorporating innovative technologies and methodologies into product designs.
• Follow NPI and PDP process to development and implement new products per industry standards.

The Experience You Will BringRequirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of Mechanical design experience of electronics chassis structures
• Experience creating technical models and drawings for simulation and manufacturing needs
• Experience with Metrology, Geometric dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and Tolerance analysis.
• Work globally with teams to bring products to production.
• Experience in relevant engineering software tools for documentation
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to electromechanical products or connectors (e.g., IEC, UL, RoHS).

What Will Put You Ahead

• Proficient with Drafting, NX Sheetmetal, and NX Motion.
• Experience with a PLM tools like Teamcenter.
• Possess good knowledge in Manufacturing, Fabrication and Plastic, sheet metal and diecast components.
• Experience in DFM, DFMEA, Tolerance stack-up and Component validation & Qualification
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials selection
