Check the quality level and stock level of gloves produced that are required for packing to fulfil the orders of different customers, to schedule a packing plan
Ensure that there are sufficient bins and pallets for operations (e.g. storage space, logistics and rack space)
Coordinate movement of the stock between Work in Progess (WIP), Production Area and Finished Goods (FG) warehouse.
Determine which packing line (e.g. auto/ manual packing) to perform the packing
Plan utilisation of workforce required to perform packing to fulfil the customer Purchase Order before container closing, including time required for Quality Assurance (QA) buyoff and customer inspection prior to container closing.
Share packing schedule with Stamping department to ensure packing (incoming) material (e.g. inners, carton boxes) are available (with stamping and labelling) according to glove packing schedule.
Weighing & Packing Process
7Ensure all equipment utilised for weighing gloves are correctly calibrated (according to the glove specification) and accurate before starting the packing process.
Ensure the packing and cartoning of gloves is following the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and specification required.
Ensure workforce is equipped with PPE and attire as per required in a clean room environment (e.g. hair net, face mask, lab coat, etc.)
Monitor worker discipline and ensure attendance and packing efficiency of the workers are meeting expectation to ensure timely completion of packing process.
Obtain QA pre shipment buyoff for packed gloves.
Inspect the arrangement of cartons in the pellet before the pelletising process and ensure the clear labelling of the completed pellets.
Arrange for the completed pellets to be moved to the finished goods warehouse.
Return any unused glove (in bins / sub lots) back to the WIP warehouse / inventory
Travel Card Compilation
Monitor and make sure travel cards based on number of lots and sub lots are scanned into the KOSSAN Process Control System (KPCS) to track progress.
Monitor progress and completion rate of customer order fulfilment through the KPCS system.
Monthly Stock Take
Every first day of the month, perform stock take and report to Factory Manager / General Manager of the Plant on:
Inventory of WIP
Packing Output
Shipment Report
Finished Goods Stock Card
Packing Stock Card
Packing Consumption
Glove Balancing Report
Packaging Warehouse Stock Count
Safety, Standards and Compliance
Define, communicate and review the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI) for processes, equipment, installation and ensure it is kept current.
Cultivate and enforce safe working practices to ensure safety of the workforce in the team, compliance to safety standards and drive toward zero loss time injury.
Ensure adhere to standards and compliance requirements from the customers, including ensuring necessary documentation controls are in place.
Manage team and operations towards achieving zero non compliance for QA and safety internal audits.
Actively participate and contribute towards effective implementation of KOSSAN Process Control System (KPCS)
Develop Human Capital
Effectively deploy and utilise workforce to complete packing operations
Mentor inexperienced engineers and technician to develop skills and provide technical leadership (formal or informal) through on the job experience as well as comprehensive understanding of the packing operational line.
Monitoring team performance against target Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), goals, career development and collaborate with HR to strengthen the packing team competencies and talent supply.
Monitor workforce compliance in accordance to prevailing policies and guidelines, such as work hours, overtime, working conditions, fair treatment, wellbeing, etc.
Ensure effective usage of workforce in the department and manage towards the target headcount ratio required to produce every million gloves.
28. Any other task and/or assigned duties as required by the management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Degree in Manufacturing /Process Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years working experience in related field.
Experience in GMP, FDA, HALAL, HACCP, ISO compliance and industrial standard.
Experience in warehousing compliance such as ISO and any other relevant industrial standard.
Experience in warehouse management systems (Example: ERP, SAP), inventory control, space management.
Strong leadership skills, independent with self drive, result orientated, good problem solving and reporting skills, analytical skills, critical thinking skills and good communication skills
