Who are we looking for?

We are looking for Engineer, Planning / Scheduling who are un charge of Determines relevant scope requirements, work-breakdown structure (WBS) definition, duration of activities, resources, and the sequence of work to support the development of the project schedule. Manages contractors\xe2\x80\x99 developed schedules, ensures compliance with the PMS, and provide feedback to address deviations, such as scope change, resource changes, etc. Identifies project risks, such as procurements, financial, quality, contracts and schedules risks to suggest risk mitigations. Communicates project status through the creation of a notification system, reporting tools, and portfolio dashboards to enlighten the project stakeholders about the project status and help them make sound decisions.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Engineering (post-graduation in Engineering, Project Management or related fields is desirable).
  • 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the petrochemicals or in an industrial environment, with emphasis in the area of planning and scheduling.
  • On hand experience in planning of projects in development phases.
  • Detail knowledge of Engineering, Procurement tasks and deliverables.
  • Preparation of detailed estimating plans prior to execution, including scheduling and assignment of responsibilities.
  • Co-ordination of risk assessment activities, including preparation of Monte-Carlo type spreadsheet simulations, (if applicable).
  • Expertise in Planning & Scheduling software such as Primavera P6 (enterprise management), Monte Carlo and MS Projects.
  • Hands-on experience in Cost Controls software such as SAP.
  • Advanced knowledge in Project Management skill sets.
  • Familiarity with policies, work practices, procedures E&P.
  • Thorough knowledge in best practices and applicable international codes and standards.
  • Computer literacy in MS Windows
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Must be self-disciplined and self-motivated.
  • Good verbal and written presentation ability.

Duties and responsibilities

Project Planning, Scheduling and Performance Monitoring:
  • Development and update of a work breakdown structure
  • Develop early project schedules.
  • Develop the following deliverables as needed for the Gates
  • Project Schedules - Level 1, 2, 3 & 4 in close cooperation with the contractor.
  • Review the Schedule basis report of Contractor.
  • Development of Planning & Scheduling procedures.
  • Ensure Contractor operates in compliance with planning processes & systems.
  • Provide quality input as required for internal benchmarking processes.
  • Preparation of the baseline Level 1 schedule and review of contractor\xe2\x80\x99s schedules Level 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
  • Analyze schedule performance and flag early warnings
  • Support Contractor to Perform Risk analysis where required.
  • Set-up and chair monthly & ad hoc review of Schedule updates.
  • Critically reviewing the Planning Schedules of the Contractor, providing advice for improvements and monitoring the progress of the Contractors activities against the contract schedule identifying potential deviations and making proposals for corrective actions.
  • Updating and maintaining project schedules in accordance with approved work plans, long-term strategic plans and other schedule and plan tools;
  • Review of schedule performances of all projects to ensure compliance against the approved Schedules and progress curves.
  • Provide support to project teams by auditing progress performances, reviewing schedules, analyzing schedule recovery plans, etc.
  • Provide close monitoring of project\'s effort in following the established schedule, resource utilization plan and milestone achievement in forecasting of impacts on project completion.
  • Ensure that reports, planning documents and Information from all projects are in the quality and in compliance with our client reporting requirements.

If this preliminary phone/video interview is successful, your resume will be submitted to our client. If your preliminary phone/video interview is not successful, our Talent Acquisition consultant will inform you. 2.2 Client Face to Face interview: This interview will happen only if your resume is approved by our client, we cannot guarantee the time our client will take to approve your resume, but it should take less than a week. If your resume is approved a member of the Talent Acquisition Team will get back to you and schedule a face-to-face meeting in a defined location. You will be told to go to the location. The client interview contains technical questions that help assess your familiarity with problem-solving in your given field and may include a behavioral evaluation. Be prepared to explain how you approach problems and produce solutions. If your face-to-face interview is successful, the hiring team will further evaluate your resume, decide, and then receive a conditional job offer. If your face-to-face interview is not approved, LHR Americas will inform you. 2.3 There could be additional video interviews with hiring managers, which may also contain technical questions that help us assess your familiarity with problem-solving in your given field. 3. Conditional Offer A successful interview may result in a conditional offer of employment. Conditions for employment include but are not limited to medical examinations, and permission to secure a visa to work and reside in-country.
