The Production Engineer is responsible for overseeing and improving the assembly processes involved in top-level (box build) production. This role ensures production efficiency, product quality, process optimization, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The engineer will act as a key liaison between design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
People management skill to manage big group Direct Labor
Provide technical support for assembly operators and technicians.
Monitor and optimize the box build assembly line processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure consistent product quality.
Plan and implement production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of assembled units.
Track and analyze production data, yield, downtime, and suggest corrective actions.
Manage, Evaluate and initiate tools, fixtures, and jigs required for the assembly process.
Support new product introduction (NPI) and engineering change implementations on the production floor.
Good interpersonal and communication skills and Coordinate with cross- functional teams to resolve production-related issues, including engineering changes, quality concerns, or equipment malfunctions.
Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instruction related to production documentation for cross-functional coordination.
Time management and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills including Cycle time studies , line balancing, basic Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement tools.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing or Kaizen methodologies.
Ensure all processes comply with Company policies and procedures including customer-specific standards.
AUTHORITY
Authorized to initiate and implement process improvements within the production line. Fresh graduates or manufacturing enthusiasts are strongly encouraged to apply.
Empowered to full control of the designated line
Empowered to lead and bring the line group for best performance
Point of escalation and requirements to the Production Manager.
Authorized to liaise with relevant departments (Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Facility , Safety) to resolve line issues and potential issues including improvement proposal .
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, or any other related field that relates to technical or analytical.
Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Experience in interpreting engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation is preferred, not a must as training will be provided
Familiarity with assembly tools, torque settings, ESD control, and product configuration in a production environment is preferred, not a must as training will be provided
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IPC standards) is preferred, not a must as training will be provided
JOB RELATED SKILLS
Problem-solving and root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Why, Fishbone) ) is preferred, not a must as training will be provided
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD/SolidWorks (optional), and ERP systems ) is preferred, not a must as training will be provided
