You will have access to the latest technological developments at GF Labs, with opportunities for patent submissions, presenting your ideas on a global platform, and enjoy GF-wide collaboration across our fabs and offices around the world.Why This RoleThe role is based in the GF Malaysia office in Penang, Malaysia. The GF Malaysia office serves as a key hub providing engineering resources to supplement GF\xe2\x80\x99s global fab operations on a real-time basis. Through the monitoring of key production processes, performance metrics and tool uptime, the GF Malaysia team will be able to provide important round-the-clock support for our global manufacturing operations.As the ideal candidate, you will leverage your technical strength, analytical and problem-solving skills to solve challenging process integration issues. Your role will span across existing and new Fabs, improving process margin and wafer yields, increasing manufacturing productivity and lowering cost that are key to achieving Fab excellence. Coaching engineers will also be part of your job responsibilities.What You Will Do

• Develop and qualify new processes or add additional modules/features into existing processes.
• Support new product introduction from tapeout till prototyping success.
• Use process integration and semiconductor device knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve inline measurement and electrical test issues.
• Identify and solve line and wafer yield related problems. Lead and drive issues to closure.
• Run DOE to optimize process margins
• Monitor critical inline measurement and electrical test parameters SPC trend and Cpk to ensure production wafers meet the require quality.

What You Will Need

• Masters/Degree in Microelectronics/Electrical/Electronics/Chemical Engineering or Science in Physics/Material Science or related field
• 1-2 years of process integration engineering experience in the semiconductor industry
• Good understanding of Semiconductor process and device physics, Statistical knowledge (SPC) and Software (JMP) will be an added advantage.
• Good interpersonal and effective communication skill
• Strong analytical, presentation & problem-solving skill
• Able to perform under fast paced and challenging environment
