POSITION : Engineer, Subsea

REPORTING TO : Head of Subsea Maintenance & Inspections

DIVISION/DEPARTMENT : PBF/M

LOCATION : KL Office

1. KEY OBJECTIVES

  • Provide engineering support for the operation and maintenance of CALM Buoy, Jacket, Manifold, XMT in Sarawak and Sabah
  • Key personnel for subsea repair and light interventionAssist in the management of the subsea asset.
  • Function as PTTEP Representative when required during routine and non-routine subsea inspection or subsea intervention activities.
2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Ensure that the company and PETRONAS HSE and safe practices are adhered to throughout all subsea operations and interfaces.Coordinate all activities associated with maintenance of subsea production system including CALM Buoy; troubleshooting, spares, ROV operations, etc. Provide support for subsea project interface for brownfield development. Provide well intervention engineering support for ongoing and future expansions.

Develop and support trouble shooting procedure and workpack. Development and maintenance of long term Intervention/ Maintenance and Repair strategies with other members of Subsea Group.

Oversee and review results of engineering work carried out by specialist contractors regarding fatigue and dynamic. Participate in RA and HAZID as required. Assist with managing all Subsea Operations Contracts, Assist with managing finance, budgets and AFE\'s for Subsea Operations Interface between the Technical team and Commercial team. Assist with developing contract plans for Subsea Operations

Monitor monthly costs against approved annual & Ad- hoc budgets. Assist with the maintenance of the contracts database and purchase order system for the Subsea Department. Interface between the Technical team and Commercial team. Assist with developing contract plans for Subsea Operations. Monitor monthly costs against approved annual & Ad- hoc budgets. Coordinating final acceptance of work and associated payments for the Subsea Department Assist with preparing and developing contract bid packages based on job requirements. 3. KEY AUTHORITIES

As provided/assigned by Head of Subsea Maintenance and Inspection.

4. SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for personnel safety when acting as PTTEP Representative offshore.
5. WORKING RELATIONSHIP
  • Reporting to Head of Subsea Maintenance and Inspection.
  • Liaise with other Subsea Team members and Logistics Team in Labuan/Bintulu and Offshore.
  • Site focal point for any onshore/offshore execution
  • Coordinate support from Original Equipment Manufacturers, Suppliers and Contractors.
  • Work with Operation and Maintenance Group
6. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Degree in a Mechanical Engineering related discipline or equivalent.
  • 5-10 years working experience in oil and gas industry with minimum 5 years in Subsea Hardware/Structure
  • Understanding of subsea production system
  • MS Office Products, English competency.
  • Strong team player skills. Fluent in English both written and spoken.
  • Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis software.
