Roles and Responsibilities:
Supplier Selection and Qualification: Help Supply Chain team to evaluate and select suppliers based on quality standards, capabilities, and regulatory compliance.
Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance programs for suppliers, including audits, inspections and process controls.
Performance Monitoring and Evaluation: Track and evaluate supplier performance against agreed-upon metrics and standards.
Corrective Action and Continuous Improvement: Identify and address quality issues with suppliers, implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.
Communication and Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal teams (sourcing, procurement, engineering, manufacturing), and regulatory bodies.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of supplier audits, inspections, and corrective actions. Maintaining detailed records of supplier quality performance, documenting issues and resolutions, and preparing reports to track quality metrics.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies related to supplier quality.
Supplier Development: Provide guidance and support to suppliers to improve their quality processes and performance.
Supplier Audit Planning and Execution: Develop and execute audit plans to assess supplier compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and trust.
New Supplier Onboarding: Develop and implement processes for onboarding new suppliers, ensuring they meet company quality standards.
Problem solve and bridge technical specification gap between internal engineering and supplier.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, quality management), preferably mechanical or materials engineering background.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, ISO 9001 auditor) are a plus. Minimum 4 years of proven experience in supplier quality management, quality control and assurance in the field of metal processing and fabrication, PCBA and SMT manufacturing, polymer processing and machining industry.
Good communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in additional languages is highly desirable for cross-regional supplier communication.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Familiar with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO45001).
Experience in supplier quality management, audits, and assessments.
* Proficiency in using quality analysis tools (e.g., 8D, SPC, CP).
