Job Description

1.

Operations & Maintenance

Monitor, maintain, optimize, plan and implement plant facility and utilities, production equipment, tools and fixture to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Create product drawings to reflect requirements from customers, national and international regulations and company's technical standards. Develop control plan, flow chart as well as Standard Work Instructions (SWI) for production. Ensure compliance with SWI during manufacturing by supervising operators. Maintain ERP system data, including products and components information, working center information, product BOM, routing processes and etc.

Project & Improvement

Lead continuous improvement initiatives on products, factory layout and production line setup, production process, flow of material, equipment, tools, fixtures to enhance efficiency and product quality, reduce downtime, and optimize costs. Lead PPAP process for customer projects. Resolve technical and quality issues during the manufacturing process or from a customer complaint. Compile and analyze quality control data, including customer complaints to identify root causes of quality issues. Develop and implement preventive measures to address quality problems and customer complaints.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure adherence to workplace safety, health, and environmental policies (e.g., OSHA, DOE, DOSH). Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions for identified hazards. Maintain proper documentation of equipment, procedures, and compliance records.

Collaboration & Reporting

Coordinate with other department including HR, Finance, production, procurement, external contractors as well as colleagues in China, Europe, America for plant facility and engineering related activities. Prepare engineering reports, downtime analysis, and cost-saving proposals. Support training and technical guidance for internal colleagues, and suppliers and customers when necessary.

Authority

Recommend and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans. Approve requisition of spare parts, tools, and materials within the approved budget. Supervise contractors, technicians, and operators for plant-related activities. Stop any unsafe operations or practices that may endanger personnel, equipment, or the environment. Provide technical input in supplier evaluation, equipment selection, and engineering projects. Escalate critical issues to the Plant Manager/Engineering Manager for decision-making.

Education Background:

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).

Language:

Bahasa Malaysia/Mandarin/English

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and utility systems. Experience in hydraulics system industry is preferred. Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent). Hand-on skills on mechanical products assembly, testing, measuring, troubleshooting and problem solving Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and ISO systems.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with people from different countries Team leadership and people management. Planning, organizing, and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.

Additional Requirements

Willing to be on standby or work on shifts when required. Professional certifications (e.g., Professional Engineer (PE), Green Book/Yellow Book, or safety certifications) are an added advantage. Willing and able to travel aboard
