Job Description




The Engineering Change Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the process of implementing changes to product designs, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and associated documentation within the organization. This role plays a crucial role in ensuring that changes are properly evaluated, approved, and executed while minimizing disruptions to production and maintaining product quality.

The primary function of this position is to provide service in regard to Change Control Process, Master Data Management and Document Management over the product life cycle for Order Fulfillment (OFS) worldwide and associated business functions. Create Product Representation in our ERP System with the result, that our customer can place orders. Ensure that the ERP & PLM system fulfill the major business needs and working continuously on process & tool improvements.

By providing this service, ensure accurate, consistent and compliant data and document management in SAP for ordering, manufacturing, distributing and supporting product & services throughout their life cycle.

  • Evaluate proposed changes for technical feasibility, impact on design, manufacturing, cost, and schedule. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information.
  • Lead or participate in change review boards or committees to evaluate and approve proposed changes based on established criteria.
  • Engineering Change Order (ECO) Analyzation & Coordination of new BOM structure - set up System Data and Document Maintenance.
  • Develop, refine, and maintain a well-defined process for initiating, evaluating, approving, and executing engineering changes to product designs and BOMs.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, quality, and other relevant teams to ensure seamless implementation of approved changes, updating BOMs and associated documentation.
  • Key contact for our internal customer for all Change Management question.
  • Key Supporter for New Product Generation and Introduction.
  • Data and Document Integrity between Agile & SAP.
  • Works consistent on process & system improvements to ensure accurate, consistent and compliant data and document management in Agile & SAP for ordering, manufacturing, distributing and supporting product & services throughout their life cycle.
  • Develop & support Product Lifecycle Management process improvements together with our business partner (R&D, OFS, IT, Manufacturing).
  • Consulting & support M&A projects and Material Master Data load activities.
  • Business SME and key contact to IT, for major defects or other PLM system related issues.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of product structure representation and product structure configuration in SAP-ERC, required for completing a valid configuration of products and services for quotes and orders.
  • Responsible for analysis and evaluation of user business problems and development of business system or process recommendations to meet requirements, including problem definition, evaluation of requirements, and implementation of systems/processes.
  • Participate in business systems planning to define or upgrade business applications or functional solutions. May serve as business liaison to IT.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications.
  • 3-5 years of Engineering data management experience \xe2\x80\x93 preferably medical equipment manufacturing environment.
  • Experienced in roles involving both configuration management and engineering change management.
  • In-depth understanding of product design, manufacturing processes, BOM structures, and configuration management principles.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software tools, including PLM and ERP systems. Agile & SAP ECC experience, at least 2 years. High knowledge in Agile & SAP and a basic understanding of the boundary business processes.
  • Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards pertinent to the industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing effectively.
  • Experience with change management methodologies and practices.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Ability to work across with different organizations with a wide variety of personalities, both internationally and cross-functionally.
