We are looking for an Engineering Executive at Nestle Distribution Centre is responsible for overseeing and managing the technical, engineering, and maintenance operations of the facility. This role requires extensive experience in maintenance management, technical expertise, and a strong understanding of engineering principles. The Engineering Executive will ensure the smooth functioning of various systems and facilities within the distribution centre, including loading bay systems, racking systems, lighting systems, firefighting systems, HVAC management systems, CCTV, and other building facilities.

A day in the life of...

Maintenance Management:

  • Liaise with maintenance planner to develop a comprehensive maintenance management plan for the distribution centre.
  • Execute and oversee preventive maintenance activities for all equipment and systems.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repairs.
  • Oversee and manage all maintenance work orders, services, inspection documentation and reports.
  • Resolving engineering breakdown, validating engineering services work by vendor, analyzing root cause on breakdown
Technical Expertise:
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the distribution centre\'s systems and facilities.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the maintenance team and other departments.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in engineering and maintenance practices.
Engineering Management:
  • Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of new systems or modifications to existing systems.
  • This includes requirement study and development of BQ, RFQ, RFP and discussions with vendors / Group Procurement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure engineering projects are executed efficiently and within budget.
  • This includes managing projects in accordance with Nestle\'s standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the performance and reliability of systems and facilities.
  • Evaluating and discussing on Method of Statement and HIRADC for both routine maintenance works and non-routine project and service works.
  • Conduct Permit-to-Work process for engineering works.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate measures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Team Leadership:
  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement within the team.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
  • Prepare and manage the engineering department\'s budget, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
  • Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement cost control measures.
  • Evaluate and select vendors and suppliers based on quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
Safety, Health, and Environment Management (SHE)
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during maintenance activities.
  • Work along with SHE department on ensuring safety compliance in the premise.
  • Monitoring and supervision towards issued PTW within the premise.
What Will Make You Successful,
  • Bachelor\'s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Civil) or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in technical, engineering, or maintenance management.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics centers and/or building facilities.
  • Proven experience in maintenance management, including preventive maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to perform efficient work activities with very minimum supervision
