Job description 1. Engineering Leadership & Team Development o Lead process engineers and technicians. o Ensure engineering structure, training, skill development and competency growth. o Assign technical tasks, review performance, and drive accountability. 2. Process Engineering & Optimization o Establish machining process parameters, tooling selection, fixture concepts, and work instructions. o Improve machine cycle time, OEE, tool life, scrap rate, rework rate, and production cost. o Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S and root cause elimination on shop-floor. 3. New Product Introduction (NPI) o Lead DFM/DFA review, prototype trials, capability validation, and mass production readiness. o Responsible for engineering documents: SOP, WI, PFMEA, control plan, tool list. o Ensure smooth transition from trial stage to stable manufacturing. 4. Cross-Department Collaboration o Coordinate with Production, QA, Industrial Engineering, Procurement and Planning. o Solve technical problems related to machining accuracy, tool wear, stability, fixture, and quality. o Support customer technical discussion, feasibility evaluation, and escalation matters. 5. Equipment, Tooling & Technology o Plan machine capacity, tooling strategy, fixture investment and automation adoption. o Evaluate existing equipment performance and improve availability. o Promote digitalization and advanced manufacturing technology. 6. Quality, Compliance & Documentation o Ensure engineering practices meet quality system. o Apply 8D, 5Why, Ishikawa, DMAIC for quality issues. o Maintain traceable engineering records and revision control.
Requirements o Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering. o 7-10 years engineering experience in precision manufacturing / CNC / machining. o Minimum 3-5 years leadership or team management experience. o Proven record of process improvement, automation, or NPI success. o Fluent in English; Mandarin is an advantage for supplier/customer support. o Strong leadership, discipline, and ownership mindset.
