Pelepas Terminal Inland Services (PTIS), established in 2001, is a joint venture between the Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) and AP Moller Maersk Group. Dedicated to container and port equipment maintenance and repairs, PTIS has grown to become the main hub repair facility for Asia Pacific delivering containers to the entire region. With an annual throughput capacity of 180k TEU, PTIS specialises in both Dry and Reefer container repairs, working hard on innovation and efficiency with a technical and specialised workforce of 200+ employees. Over the years, PTIS has evolved to an engineering service company, providing maintenance, repair and overhaul services to the marine industry that includes but is not limited to vessels, quay crane (QC), rubber tyred gantry (RTG) cranes, trailers, spreaders, diesel engines, power packs, refrigeration systems and other mechanical and electrical equipment. Senior Engineer / Manager - Engineering & Marine Services (Johor - Port of Tanjung Pelepas, Gelang Patah) We offer: An attractive compensation package. Performance-linked annual bonus scheme. Open and engaging working environment Position Purpose: Fully responsible for the daily management and overall P&L of the Engineering and Marine Services business; Develop and implement Engineering and Marine business strategy for the company; Develop and maintain a robust organization within the EMS business with focus on timely recruitment, staff training, motivation and development. Transform the EMS function of the company into a centre of excellence. Part of the management team of PTIS and be involved in shaping the future strategic direction of the company including business expansion opportunities. General Areas of Responsibilities: Manage day to day business within Engineering and Marine Services. Maintain and pro-actively manage relationship with customers and other key internal and external stakeholders. Formulate objectives and performance measures for effective management of the business. Establish and timely review policies/standard operating procedures; Allocate, delegate and coordinate jobs among subordinates; Lead, train and supervise subordinates to get the job done; Control and monitor efficiency of own team to ensure maximum utilization of resources and highest possible productivity. Deliver on set KPIs for operational and financial performance ensuring safe and efficient operations in accordance with the business plan; Requirements: A Bachelor\'s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree or Master\'s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Marine) or equivalent. MUST HAVE a minimum of 5-8 years of proven track record in the Port Handling Equipment (RTG, QC), Ship Engineering, hoisting equipment or Marine business; Practical and managerial experience with maintenance of large machinery, equipment, plant Requires good leadership skills, planning, organizing and directing work; Demonstrate strong leadership and have the ability to build a team; Strong background in process, stakeholder and people management; A hard task master who is not afraid to push the team to get results while maintaining team motivation; Strong drive to succeed with a self-starter attitude; Proficient in written/spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia; Applicants should be Malaysian citizens MUST BE WILLING TO WORK AT PORT OF TANJUNG PELEPAS, JOHOR Those who do not fulfill the requirements for the Manager position may be considered for position of an Engineer.
