We are automotive parts manufacturer and 1st Tier parts supplier to major car / automotive manufacturer including PROTON, TOYOTA, HONDA, KIA, MAZDA. Our factory located in Puchong currently looking for dynamic candidates for a post of

Manager

to lead and manage the engineering team in product design, development, and industrialization for automotive components. Ensure all engineering processes comply with IATF 16949, ISO 14000, and customer-specific requirements while maintaining high standards in product quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Manufacturing Engineering. Minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in automotive product development, with at least 5 years in managerial or leadership roles. Experience in OEM/Tier-1 supplier environment is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Development & Project Management

Lead and oversee product development activities for components such as Sunvisor, Washer System, Side Mirror, Plastic Injection Parts, and Steering Column (Manual & Electrical). Manage all stages of product development from concept design, prototyping, validation, and mass production. Coordinate with customers and suppliers for design approval, drawing review, and technical discussions. Ensure product development follows APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), SPTT (Supplier Part Tracking Table) and SQAV (Supplier Quality Assurance Visit) documentation, process, deliverables, implementation and maintaining. Conduct DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, and Process Flow reviews. Support process validation, PPAP submission, and engineering change management.
2. Quality & System Management

Ensure all engineering activities comply with IATF 16949 quality management requirements. Manage and maintain engineering documentation and procedures in alignment with IATF standards. Implement and monitor ISO 14000 (Environmental Management System) compliance in all engineering-related activities. Support internal and external (customer & certification body) audits related to IATF and ISO systems. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in quality, cost, and process efficiency.
3. Technical & Process Support

Provide technical guidance in tooling design, material selection, and manufacturing process optimization (especially for plastic injection and mechanical assemblies). Troubleshoot technical issues during development and mass production phases. Support supplier technical evaluation and development for new product sourcing. Ensure manufacturability and quality assurance in all product designs.
4. People Management & Communication

Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers to achieve department objectives. Foster strong collaboration between cross-functional teams including Quality, Production and Purchasing. Communicate effectively with Japanese customers and suppliers; able to converse and write fluently in Japanese for technical discussions and documentation. Prepare and present technical reports, project reviews, and status updates to management.

Key Competencies & Skills:

Strong knowledge in IATF 16949, ISO 14000, APQP, SPTT, and SQAV systems. Hands-on experience in automotive product design and validation. Excellent leadership, project management, and analytical skills. Proficiency in Japanese (spoken and written) for business communication. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with multinational teams. Familiar with 3D CAD software and engineering drawing interpretation.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
