English Language Instructor Job Summary As an English Language Instructor at ELS Language Centers, you will play a crucial role in planning, teaching, and evaluating classes. Reporting to the Academic Director or Academic Coordinator, you will collaborate with Instructional Specialists and Senior English Language Instructors to ensure successful implementation of the ELS curriculum. In addition to classroom responsibilities, you will also fulfill administrative duties and actively participate in professional development activities. Job Duties Teach assigned ELS academic programs under the guidance of the Academic Director or Academic Coordinator. Develop comprehensive lesson plans, exercises, and tests to foster student learning. Assess and provide guidance to students based on their performance in the classroom. Foster a positive and conducive learning environment in the classroom. Coordinate instruction, attendance records, and evaluation with fellow teachers. Adhere to and communicate Center policies and procedures to associate English Language Instructors. Complete administrative paperwork as required. Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance. Organize and maintain Center resource materials and files. Refer non-academic issues to the appropriate individuals for resolution. Willingly participate in observation and observation-based professional development opportunities. Attend administrative meetings and engage in professional development activities. Contribute to the evaluation process through classroom observations and follow-up discussions. Provide support and guidance to Associate English Language Instructors. Develop and refine teaching materials at the local level. Actively participate in activities during scheduled class hours and disseminate information about after-class activities. Maintain neat classrooms, staff workrooms, and staff lounges. Serve as a substitute in emergency situations when necessary. Minimum Job Requirements Education: Bachelor\'s Degree in Education/TELF/TESOL, or BA/BSc Degree and CELTA or TEFL/TESOL (minimum 120-hour TESOL) qualification. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant ESL/EFL teaching experience (face-to-face and online). Country: Native English Speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa.
