Job Summary



We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Entry-level / Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is ideal for a rising chef with a strong foundation in professional cooking and a keen interest in fine dining standards. The successful candidate will assist the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations, uphold food quality and hygiene, and contribute to the creative process of menu development.

Key Responsibilities



Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.

Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes in alignment with the restaurant's high standards.

Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.

Ensure quality control and consistency in flavour, taste, and plating of all menu items.

Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards in accordance with HACCP regulations.

Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and assist with ordering supplies as needed.

Support the development of new dishes and seasonal menu items with creative input.

Step in to manage the kitchen in the absence of the Sous Chef or Head Chef.

Requirements



Diploma/Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent; relevant work experience will be considered.

1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably within fine dining or high-end establishments.

Strong knowledge of modern cooking techniques, food trends, and fine dining standards.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

High attention to detail, organization, and time management.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
