1. Assist in implementing and maintaining the Company's Quality, Environmental, Safety and Health (QESH) Management System to ensure that it is in compliance with relevant statutory requirements at all times, including the International Standards, local regulations, code of practices, and legal requirements.
2. Assist to ensure the effective implementation of construction planning activity from pre-contract to construction is in conformance to ISO 14001 standards.
3. Continuously promote awareness of client requirements as well as environmental practices throughout the Company and ensure that it is observed and adhered by the Company and relevant parties at all times.
4. Provide sound advice and guidance to the project team to support the effective operations of the Environmental Management System.
5. Assist to continuously improve the Environmental Management System by coordinating and / or conducting regular internal audits, awareness briefings, trainings and induction programme.
6. Assists to comply with Project Environmental Management Plan.
7. Conduct regular inspections, accident / incident investigations, hazard identifications, risk assessment, risk control measures and follow-ups on the Job Safety Analysis.
8. Efficiently and effectively monitor and update the Register of Correction Action Request (CAR) on a regular basis.
9. Prepare and submit accurate environmental related reports on a timely basis.
10. Liaise with relevant authorities to ensure that any environmental mater is attended to and resolved promptly and prudently.
11. Responsible for the upkeep of documentation of the relevant environmental documents and data.
Skills & Qualifications:
1. Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science / Health & Safety or equivalent / relevant disciplines
2. Registered Safety & Health Supervisor with DIOSH/NIOSH/JKKP with Yellow Book holder
3. Possess valid Green Card (CIDB).
4. Min 2 years working experience in construction industry.
5. Good knowledge of all safety regulation/requirements and industrial best practice.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skill for effective interaction with all parties on site.
7. Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address safety issues promptly.
8. Able to work at project sites and travel when required.
