We are a recruitment agency based in Kuala Lumpur looking for potential candidates for our client company. Details as below:

Job Details:

a) Ensure Compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to environmental laws, regulations, and company policies.

b) Risk Assessment: Evaluate potential environmental risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

c) Environmental Monitoring: Oversee and monitor air, water, and soil quality during projects or operations.

d) Sustainability Initiatives: Implement and promote energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, and biodiversity protection programs.

e) Reporting: Prepare regular reports on environmental performance, incidents, and compliance to relevant authorities and stakeholders.

f) Training and Awareness: Provide environmental training to staff and raise awareness about environmental issues and best practices.

g) Liaison: Communicate with government bodies (like the Department of Environment (DOE)), community members, and other interested parties on environmental matters.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

a) Environmental Legislation: Strong understanding of national and local environmental laws and regulations.

b) Policy Development: Ability to analyze environmental data and contribute to the development and implementation of environmental policies.

c) Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA): Expertise in assessing potential environmental impacts from projects.

d) Technical Skills: Proficiency in managing and monitoring pollution control systems, waste management, and wastewater treatment.

e) Communication: Excellent communication skills to liaise with various internal and external stakeholders.

f) Education: Typically requires a diploma or degree in Environmental Science or a related field.

g) Certifications: Certifications such as the Certified Professional for Environmental Officer in EIA (CePEOEIA) from the Institut Alam Sekitar Malaysia (EiMAS) can be advantageous.

h) Relevant Experience: Experience in specific industries, such as construction, is often beneficial.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 10 months

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
