KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Responsible for literature review and keeping up-to-date with international practices, guidelines, methods and standards in field measurements, modelling or projection tools, mitigation technologies for environmental issues related to hydropower development and operation, including but not limited to water quality, greenhouse gases and hydrogen sulfide emissions.
2. Identify, develop, implement, and manage research plans to close knowledge and data gaps within scopes aligned with company\'s agenda, including but not limited to understanding environmental impacts of hydropower development and operation, and developing innovative solutions to uphold company\'s commitment for sustainable hydropower.
3. Conduct research; collect, collate, and analyze data; prepare technical reports, white papers, and power point presentations; develop and review standard operating procedures, environmental guidance, instructions, policy, and processes; and attend to meetings and action items related to hydropower environmental issues / impacts.
4. Perform necessary data analysis and understanding of research output for formulating useful recommendations for informed decision-making by the management.
5. Ensure proper equipment operation, calibration & maintenance, ensuring chemicals & consumables inventories are up-to-date, management of procurement and contracts, proper management and documentation of field and laboratory results, including those performed by the non-executives.
6. Assist in any other relevant tasks as assigned / required by the Unit / Division, including preparing management papers and planning and execution of field sampling activities as well as laboratory analyses.
