SUMMARY OF ROLE:

To work together with Process Engineer, Yield/Integration Engineer, and Equipment Technicians to optimize and maintain Furnace Loader and Unloader, and support safety, efficiency, and quality goals set by the company by way of continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To Install, start up, and endorse for Production use wafers loader and unloader systems. Work with Tool Vendors, Facilities Engineering team, and Equipment Technicians closely to meet set schedules.
• To engage and work closely with Manufacturing Supervisors/Specialists, Process and Equipment Technicians to resolve daily line issues and sustain the lines.
• To provide first-level engineering support for Furnaces Loader/Unloader Automation issues and be involved in engineering projects such as cost reduction, OEE improvement, second sourcing, yield & reliability improvement and new line/equipment start-up.
• To review equipment data log, errors, and SPC to ensure equipment is always running smoothly and develop necessary PM procedures, OCAPs and PM, etc.
• To plan training programs for Equipment & PM Technicians for capability improvement.
• To monitor and sustain daily equipment performance.
• To maintain and achieve good mechanical and electrical yield.
• To drive improvement projects to reduce repair and maintenance costs.
• To perform root cause analysis on yield and address issues using problem-solving methodologies such as the 8D approach and 7QC Tools.
• To support cost reduction for chemicals and spares using data analysis, engineering evaluation and characterizations.
• To prepare for and attend required meetings.
• To comply with the standards, norms, and regulations regarding the quality of the environment, health and safety and manufacturing.
• To work on shifting schedules
• To perform other tasks as required or assigned.
• Complies at all times the Environment, Health and Safety and Quality standards, rules and regulations

RELATED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Degree or Master\'s Degree in the field of Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 1-year experience in wafer cell manufacturing, wafer fabrication, or PV Cells. A module manufacturing background is preferable.
• Must be willing to work on shifting schedule
• Analytical, able to perform risk analysis and mitigation with strong problem-solving skills
• (FMEA, 5 whys, 8D).
• Good command of computer knowledge including MS Windows applications.
• Good team player with good communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to speak, write and read in Mandarin is an added advantage.
