Responsibilities:

- Manage and monitor scheduled waste in compliance with Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005, including proper labelling, storage, record-keeping, and disposal with licensed contractors.

- Oversee wastewater treatment processes to ensure compliance with DOE discharge standards, including daily monitoring, sampling, and reporting.

- Operate and maintain the scrubber system to control air emissions, ensuring system efficiency and compliance with legal requirements.

- Maintain all documentation and submit mandatory environmental reports to DOE within stipulated timelines.

- Conduct regular inspections and audits of scheduled waste storage areas, wastewater treatment facilities, and scrubber systems.

- Liaise with DOE officers, environmental consultants, and service contractors for waste disposal, system maintenance, and compliance matters.

- Provide training and awareness programs to employees on environmental management, especially scheduled waste handling.

- Prepare for and support DOE inspections and environmental audits.

- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce environmental impact and operational costs.

- Assist in other ESH duties when required, including safety inspections and health programs.

Requirements:

- Diploma/Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, or related fields.

- Minimum 2 years' experience in ESH or environmental management, with hands-on experience in scheduled waste, wastewater treatment, and scrubber system operations.

- Strong knowledge of DOE regulations, ISO 14001 standards, and relevant environmental laws.

- Ability to interpret laboratory analysis results for water and air quality.

- Good documentation and report-writing skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an advantage).

- Able to work independently and coordinate with multiple departments.

- Preferably possess relevant environmental certifications.

- Willing to work in a manufacturing environment and handle site inspections.
