Job Description

Position: Event Manager



What Will You Be Doing:



Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their event requirements, objectives, and preferences. Provide expert guidance and recommendations to help clients bring their event vision to life.

Lead the planning and execution of events, ranging from corporate functions to social events, ensuring all logistics are coordinated effectively. Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and checklists.

Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with third-party vendors (caterers, florists, photographers, entertainment, AV providers, etc.). Ensure that all vendors deliver their services according to agreed terms and timelines.

Create and manage event budgets, ensuring that the event remains within financial parameters. Provide clients with cost estimates and track spending throughout the planning process.

Oversee all event logistics, including venue selection, travel arrangements, transportation, guest lists, seating plans, signage, and other critical event details.

Supervise the execution of events on the day, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Handle on-the-day event logistics, troubleshoot any problems that arise, and maintain a high level of customer service.

Lead the event support team, ensuring that everyone is clear on their roles and responsibilities. Ensure staff and volunteers are well-prepared and organized for event execution.

Ensure a seamless and memorable experience for both clients and attendees. Monitor event flow, attendee engagement, and satisfaction, making adjustments as needed.

Work with the marketing team to support event promotion, including social media engagement, email marketing, and digital advertising to attract attendees or clients.

After the event, collect feedback from clients and attendees to assess the event's success. Prepare reports and share key insights for future improvements.

Ensure all necessary permits, insurance, and legal requirements are met. Oversee health and safety compliance during the planning and execution phases.

REQIUREMENTS



Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.

At least 3-5 years of event management experience, preferably in an agency environment where you've organized events for external clients.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with clients, vendors, and internal teams professionally.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events at once while meeting deadlines. Experience with project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana) is a plus.

Ability to think on your feet and solve problems quickly and efficiently during the planning process and on the day of the event.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From RM5,000.00 per month
