Located at the heart of the Kuala Lumpur city Centre, Traders Hotel by Shangri-la is looking for an Events Executive.
As Events Executive we rely on you:
Good knowledge of group rates structure, pricing strategy and client's special requirements in order to propose the best deal when handling leads/ enquiries in order to convert the leads / enquiries to confirmed events/groups
Demonstrate strong negotiation skill to maximize hotel profit in all revenue producing areas and practices up-selling at all opportunities to maximize revenue
Responsible for the dissemination of groups related information to other departments e.g. issues Event Orders, and attend pre-event meeting.
Actively involve in the operation of Events team and work closely with various departments to ensure quality standard service is delivered to our clients at all times.
Conduct sales calls and arrange familiarization / site inspection trips to for potential clients.
Ensures effective and close communication within the department and other departments.
Establishes and maintains files of major groups/events.

Requirements:
Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Tourism/ Hospitality/ Hotel Management.
Good command in writing & speaking English. Able to speak other languages will be an added advantage.
With a minimum of one (1) year working experience in similar capacity.
Self-management and to demonstrate core values among peers.
Good knowledge of computer (office) software and operates office equipment skillfully.
A team player, computer literate and have a good interpersonal skill.
