Star Media Group is seeking a meticulous and driven
Executive, Ad Operations
to manage the technical execution and delivery of all digital advertising campaigns across our extensive portfolio of sites. This specialized role focuses on optimizing ad inventory, managing publisher-side ad servers, and ensuring flawless campaign performance and reporting. This is a crucial, technical role distinct from general digital marketing, perfect for those passionate about ad technology, data integrity, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Trafficking & Delivery:
Manage and allocate premium ad inventory on the Group's primary ad server (Google Ad Manager) for both
direct sales
and
programmatic
campaigns across all Star Media Group digital properties.
Performance Optimization:
Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot complex campaigns to ensure timely delivery, accurate execution, and adherence to client specifications and internal policies.
Ad Strategy & Analytics:
Recommend and implement optimal ad variants, formats, and audience targeting strategies based on performance metrics and client objectives.
Reporting & Insights:
Create precise performance and optimization reports, generating valuable weekly analytics to track campaign health and monthly reports to present key insights to management.
Technical Collaboration:
Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Editorial, Product) to execute and manage enhancements to our ad products and custom targeting capabilities.
Market Monitoring:
Stay informed on market trends and ad technology developments to proactively optimize ad server capabilities and expand yield generation opportunities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Management, or a related quantitative field.
1-3 years of hands-on, practical experience
working with a major publisher-side ad server, specifically
Google Ad Manager (GAM or GAM 360)
.
Proven understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including
programmatic campaigns
,
direct trafficking workflows
, and ad inventory management.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in generating, interpreting, and presenting detailed performance data.
Familiarity with Data Management Platforms (DMPs) or Google Analytics for advanced audience segmentation.
Prior experience in a media publishing environment, managing internal advertising campaigns and inventory is preferred.
