Planning and development of AFRS operation at airport level to ensure service compliance with recognized standards and regulatory concerns
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
Monitors AFRS operation and management at the airports to ensure directives / standing orders issued by AFRS MAHB are carried out;
Coordinates the preparation and amendments of documents/manuals (i.e. AEP, Aerodrome Manuals, SOP, AIP) to ensure consistent emergency response by AFRS and supporting agencies;
Reviews deployment of resources to determine the adequacy of efforts and level of reach and understanding of how those resources should be used towards the effective and efficient implementation of AFRS functions;
Prepares and presents reports stating the level of efficient and effective utilization of resources at AFRS stations;
Monitors implementation of World Class Maintenance (WCM) programme and repairs/maintenance progress of fire vehicles and ensures that daily, weekly and monthly vehicle maintenance are implemented;
Reinforces business process by creating systematic recording, filing and strategic management and upkeep of inventories specific to his function;
Monitors and coordinates the preparation and amendment of AFRS SOPs between MASB and MAHB;
Acts as committee member of the AFRS Rating Panel, responsible to devise the AFRS Rating Standard programme to be implemented at the company\'s airports and adhering to provisions contained in the AFRS Rating Manual;
Executes AFRS Rating Standard Programme at airport level by adhering to provisions contained in the AFRS Rating Manual;
Key Challenges
Non-operational or under-performing fire vehicles at the airports;
Sufficiency of rescue and fire fighting equipment at the airports;
Determine personnel competency level to perform rescue and fire fighting.
Skills
Good knowledge in AFRS operations, staffing, fire vehicles, equipments and others
Good working knowledge and experience in Fire Management and training
Good knowledge in ICAO-ANNEX 14, Airport Service Manual, ICAO Training Manual, NFPA
Good working knowledge and experience in Fire prevention and building certification, ISO 9001: 2000, OSHA 94 and Civil Act 1969, ICAO, UBBL, Fire Act 341;
Working experience as internal/ external trainer in AFRS studies will be an added advantage
Customer service oriented with pleasant personality
Good in both written and spoken Bahasa and English

External
Degree in various fields from a local Higher Education Institution (IPT) recognized by MQA with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) above 2.50 and minimum 1 year relevant experience.

Unique Requirement
Basic fire fighting certificate from MATC or JBPM or other international certificate which is related to this field.
