POSITION GENERAL SUMMARYTo ensure daily operations in Airside smooth & safeESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
Ensure that safety standards of KLIA are in accordance with Aerodrome Manual of KLIA Sepang, ICAO manuals and recommendations in Annex
Acts as part of the Bird and Dog shooting exercise coordinator to ensure that safety procedures are carried out.
Day to day Laison with all MAB KLIA divisions, Tenant companies government and statuary organizations on all airport works and planned development.
To coordinate activities at Emergency incidents/accidents and salvage operations. To act as a coordinator between Control Tower and other relevant agencies.
In emergency conditions when there is a requirement to close the Runway/Taxiway to coordinate with Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering for emergency repairs to ensure that the Airport is returned to full operational condition as soon as possible.
To provide line management to the Airside division ensuring performance of all airside duties and the quality of safety is not compromised.
To conduct meetings with airside contractors and advised them to the safety requirements and procedures and ensuring that the contractors adhere to it at all times. This information is distributed to all relevant departments concerned.
Involvement with all Airside development from design planning to detailed day to day tactical monitoring. Projects can be of a major or minor nature requiring varying degrees of decision making.
Excellent public relations and communication skill are required as the daily job involves contact with Directors, Managers and Staff of all levels of MAB and other Airlines.
To keep abreast of new developments and legislations in Airport operations and environment management through research of technical trade, CAA and Legal publications and by contact with management of other Airports.
Key Challenges
Familiarity with ICAO Annexes, Civil Aviation Regulations and ISO 9000 series is a prerequisite.

EducationInternal
Minimum Degree in any disciplines, preferably Transport/ Operations, Aviation Management/Airport Management or equivalent.
Must achieve and maintain the following performance rating for two (2) consecutive years of at least Exceptional / A or Outstanding / B; and Minimum Meet Expectations / C
The employee must not be subjected to disciplinary punishments except for disciplinary counselling, caution, reminder & warning for the past 36 consecutive months immediately preceding the promotion
