Job Description

The Business Development Executive is responsible for building, developing, and growing assigned brands or business units, from initial setup to daily execution. This role combines growth ownership and hands-on execution, including digital channel setup, marketplace management, content and live support, and inbound lead handling.

This position requires a strong ownership mindset, adaptability, and the ability to execute in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Brand & Channel Setup



Create and manage: Social media accounts (e.g. TikTok, Instagram) Marketplace shops (TikTok Shop, Shopee, Lazada) Set up basic brand positioning, offers, and channel structure for assigned products or units Ensure all channels are properly launched and maintained

2. Growth & Development Execution



Execute growth initiatives such as: Content testing Small-scale campaigns and promotions New live or sales formats Identify improvement opportunities and propose practical optimisations Support early-stage traction and scalable growth

3. Operations & Account Management



Manage daily operations for: Social media accounts Marketplace shops Ensure content posting, shop hygiene, and campaign execution are consistent and organised Support ongoing marketing and sales initiatives

4. Content & Live Commerce Support



Create or support basic content production (short-form videos, posts) Participate in live commerce sessions: As a live host, or As live support (moderation, setup, follow-up) Coordinate with internal teams for content and live activities

5. Lead Handling & Customer Engagement



Handle inbound leads through: WhatsApp Direct messages Marketplace chat Respond to customer enquiries according to provided guidelines Support conversion and customer engagement efforts

6. Reporting & Coordination



Track basic performance metrics (traffic, engagement, sales) Prepare simple updates and reports for the Business Development Manager Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution

Requirements:



Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Experience or strong interest in:



E-commerce Digital marketing Social media platforms Marketplace operations Familiar with TikTok, Shopee, Lazada, and social platforms Hands-on, proactive, and willing to learn Comfortable working in a fast-paced, experimental environment Comfortable appearing on live sessions (preferred but not mandatory)
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
