Job Description


Plan and execute identification and evaluation of business opportunities, solutions development, undertake feasibility studies, economic evaluation to realise Gas and New Energy (GNE) business value while minimizing risk exposure and support PETRONAS\' Statement of Purpose. Business Opportunity Screening Plan and execute business opportunities screening in line with the Company\'s business objectives and the best strategic option for project execution/ acquisition in order to secure the deal and protect Company\'s interest. Plan and execute feasibility studies/ valuation activities and development of business case for new business opportunities and provide recommendations to management on whether to proceed project/acquire/decline the opportunity and the best strategic option for project execution/acquisition to gain competitive position and ensure Gas & New Energy business sustainability. Business Development Strategy, Business Intelligence & Business Model Coordinate the research, studies and analysis on business trends and risk outlook on gas industry, market, economic scenarios, competitors, customers, regulations and other related areas and identify opportunity for growth and optimisation of the business. Develop the strategic development of business growth strategy and plan as well as monitoring the business optimization and improvement initiative in order to determine the best strategy moving forward, ensuring the optimisation of Company\'s value creation and resources. Customer Relations Management Coordinate effective working relationships and rapport with other PETRONAS outfits, government authorities, business and management institutions, national and key industry players as well as service providers to keep abreast with latest development and trends in order to capture new business opportunities for the Company. Negotiation Plan and execute the negotiation strategy with stakeholders and relevant parties (i.e Host Governments, National Oil Companies (NOC), relevant internal parties), taking into consideration technical, commercial and legal implications to safeguard GNE business value. Proposals Submission and Contract Agreement Management Manage the presentation to the Management and Approving Authorities (e.g. Board) on the business proposals or bids to be submitted and subsequently secure approval/mandates from Approving Authority to acquire the identified opportunities or proceed with the project execution/Final Investment decision. Plan and execute the finalization of legal documentations, including contracts and agreements for signing and execution by all stakeholders and manage resolution of disputes and issues in order to conclude deals/partnerships (e.g. PPAs, SPAs, SHAs) in a timely manner. Governance Document guidance, ensuring clarity and be cognizant of the way (eg: Business caseforeign government consideration, legal & regulatory barriers) before taking business to domestic or internationally to ensure that plans are in line with Company\'s strategic thrusts and objectives.
