Job Description

:

: * Review and analyse the financial statements (Management accounts against audit schedule, ageing reports and reconciliation) to ensure accuracy and in compliance with the financial reporting requirements of PETRONAS Group and statutory requirements i.e. Financial Reporting Standards (FRS), Group Accounting Policies and Procedures and Companies Act to ensure integrity of the financial results produced as input for management decision making.

• Review the analysis on business performance prepared by Group Financial Controller and generating cross inter-business issues and alignment and recommend interventions/mitigations to the Management for further division and Group wide improved performance.
• Review and challenge the Corporate Plan & Budget/P4R prepared by Group Financial Controller and an effective budgetary control system for the International Holding Companies, in order to deliver agreed cost targets, cost optimizations and ensure integration and cost recoverability as well as alignment with PETRONAS objectives and strategies, whilst ensuring compliance with internal governance requirements.
• Timely monitoring of inter-company balances in ensuring no long ageing balances with all international entities in collaboration with Group Finance teams, plan, execute and coordinates the establishment, implementation and ensure an efficient and effective mechanisms for intercompany transactions including the charging out of costs to international entities.
• Review board papers with relevant Centre of Excellence (COEs) or Assets, ensure sufficiency of cash and budget, and perform budget transfer timely.

Qualification:

• Degree in Accounting / Economy / Commercial or any related discipline
• Possess professional qualification in accounting such as Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), Malaysian Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) would be an advantage.

Requirement

• Minimum 10 years in oil, gas and petrochemicals
• Possess sound SAP technical knowledge and experience in using SAP core modules related to Finance especially in JV module would be an added advantage.
