Job Description

As a Crew Controller at AirAsia X, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe and efficient allocation and scheduling of crew members in accordance with company policies and Flight Time Limitations (FTL) schemes. You will play a crucial role in monitoring and maintaining crew rosters, addressing crew-related inquiries, and proactively managing day-to-day disruptions to ensure the legality of planned operations.

Main Responsibilities:

Safety Focus: Continuously prioritize and address any threats to safe operations concerning company assets and staff.

Crew Roster Management: Monitor crew rosters on a daily basis to ensure the correct crew complement and compliance with FTL regulations.

Duty Allocation: Allocate duties to crew members in accordance with the applicable FTL scheme.

Accommodation and Transport: Request, confirm, or amend accommodation and transport requirements as booked by Crew Planning for crew members.

Crew Communication: Address crew-related inquiries and communicate any crew allocation changes to outstations when necessary.

Hotel Booking: Prepare hotel bookings as needed for ad-hoc crew members traveling to outstations.

Proactive Planning: Replan operations based on day-to-day disruptions while ensuring compliance with regulations and proactively communicating with affected crew members.

Trend Monitoring: Observe and report on trends related to crew and NOC Group AOCs, providing daily reports to the NOC management team.

Collaborative Handover: Facilitate working-level handovers and crew management with Advanced Crewing and Training Disruption teams.

Desired Skills & Experience:

Ideally, you have 6-12 months of experience in an airline environment, demonstrating your familiarity with aviation operations.

A minimum of a high school education level is required for this position.

Knowledge of Flight Time Limitations (FTL) Schemes is essential to fulfill the responsibilities effectively.

Proficiency in oral and written English is necessary for clear communication within the team and with crew members.

You should be proficient in using Microsoft and Google software, and familiarity with AIMs (Airline Information Management System) will be advantageous.
