Company Description The Energy Commission of Sabah (ECoS), established on January 10, 2023, is a statutory body under the State Government of Sabah. Operating under the Chief Minister's portfolio, ECoS is the official regulatory body for the energy sector in Sabah, tasked with ensuring secure, sustainable, affordable, and accessible energy. Its regulatory responsibilities include on-shore gas supply, electricity supply, and renewable energy. ECoS was granted authority in these areas following the enactment of key legislative measures in 2023 and 2024 by the State Legislative Assembly. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site position located in Sandakan for an Executive within the Enforcement and Regional Operation division. The Executive will oversee and manage day-to-day operational activities, including enforcing compliance with relevant energy regulations and policies. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, analyzing operational data, preparing reports, and ensuring that practices comply with state energy requirements. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with stakeholders to ensure effective regulatory practices and resolving energy-related operational issues. Qualifications Strong Interpersonal Skills and excellent Communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and teams. Proficiency in Operations and Operations Management to manage and oversee multiple regulatory and administrative activities efficiently. Sharp Analytical Skills to evaluate operational data and enforce compliance with energy regulations. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced regulatory environment and meet critical deadlines. Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage. Experience in energy sector operations or regulatory roles is preferable.
