Our company is searching for experienced candidates for the position of Executive, Facilities Engineer. RESPONSIBILITY:

1) Responsible for all work activity critical operations and effectively show leadership and administration of a portfolio of data centres critical operations. The objectives are safely, efficiently, and reliably operating, and maintaining the critical engineering infrastructure, systems, and equipment in a cost-effective manner.

2) Must able to provide designs proposal, perform engineering calculation, plans, installs, and/or maintains mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other infrastructure systems in mission-critical, high-risk, or high-reliability environments data centres. Has proficient understanding of sensitive facility components that may be impacted by failures or malfunctions of infrastructure systems.

3) Analyses current operating conditions and recommends new preventative and proactive methods for maintaining and monitoring facilities systems. Evaluates facility standards and practices to improve maintenance procedures and ensure optimal operational efficiency.

4) Coordinates response to emergency situations and ensures that corrective measures are rapid and thorough. Participates in the planning and installation of new/others facility systems. May work with multiple components including M&E - HVAC systems, air or liquid cooling systems, CRAC/CRAH units, power distribution units, fire systems, life safety systems, etc.

5) Performing as a subject matter expert in one or more critical environment electrical & mechanicals systems, infrastructure, and operational practices and must ensure the highest level of professionalism, while meeting the customer's needs, and a commitment to achieving the goal of 100% uptime.

6) Responsible for protecting and improving the value of Company assets and ensuring the critical engineering systems reliably perform their intended function. Position may require hands-on operations on the critical facility systems and equipment especially during system trouble shooting.

7) Work requires strong formal conduct of operations skills, technical expertise, personal accountability, and flawless execution of work activities commensurate with a highly critical environment and associated expectations for exceptional customer satisfaction and confidence.

8) Critical operations function delivering their assigned duties in good order through site inspections, one to one meeting, team meeting and department meeting. Ensure in house and external - vendor maintenance is properly correct out with good workmanship.

9) Must immediately highlight and response of facility operation, maintenance, and modification of all critical environment building systems including: Mechanical (including ACMV, computer room air conditioners, chillers, and hydraulic system), Electrical (including HT/LV switchgear, UPS, DC battery systems, PDU, generators and transfer switches), cabling (including data and voice, broad band), fire detection and suppression, life safety, lighting, building management systems, and detection systems (including fire alarm, duress, card access, CCTV). Also, others system that related and under care of Critical Facility.

10) Accountable for the proper operations of monitoring centre, which is the nerve centre of the Data Centre. Ensuring the team deliver all tasks properly and professionally involving monitoring of building management system, incident management (work includes escalation, reporting, investigation, conduct root caused analysis, remediation/rectification through incident closure) and work order management.

11) Must assured customer's service level agreement are in compliance at all time, the SLA covers such as incident escalate to customer within stipulated SLA upon reported to monitoring centre, written incident report issue within 24 hours, etc.

12) Responsible to identify the appropriate maintenance strategies for each facility and incorporate those objectives into a documented plan that includes preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance procedures for the critical operations team to roll out.

13) Consistent at least one a year to self-audit and review all SOP/MOP and EOP by the respective critical operations Lead Engineers or Chargeman. Ensuring the engineering team have in depth understanding of the critical system/facilities SOP/MOP and EOP.

14) Work with DC Safety and Security Executive to identify safety hazards within the building and incorporate the remediation of such hazards to ensure that the building's staff and occupants work in a safe environment. Develop and implement a safety plan for your engineering team to follow such as use of appropriate PPE for different work tasks, tool-box meeting, work risk management and enhancement plan, etc.

15) Ensure that compliance of all regulatory laws and guidelines are met as they relate to the operation of the building's infrastructure and including work deliveries. Responsible for alerting your reporting manager or senior management of any discrepancies.

16) Develop routine annual maintenance plans and capital plans which would include planning for infra-structure upgrades, equipment replacements and building modifications to ensure the building's future capabilities are maintained.

17) Literate, Hand on and provide technical input and support to facility projects and modifications, including construction support, commissioning, and final acceptance, as applicable.

18) Ensure all records and compliance documentation for all function operations are maintained and up to date, including Single Line Diagram (SLD), building drawings as well as documentation mandated for the purpose of maintaining regulatory compliance with State or Local law.

19) Ensure maintenance contract are in place to cover regular maintenance for all engineering service, soft services, EHS and security system. Establish contract with vendors if not in place. OEM must be employed for critical system maintenance.

20) Ensure timely submission of relevant reports on agreed timing such as monthly basis as required under the requirement of Company's MSA with customer. Be familiar with Company's contracted SLA with customer and ensure full compliance at all time.

21) Ensures that programs and procedures are in place to ensure vendors are effectively and consistently trained and qualified for their assigned facilities and associated work in Company's critical environment.

22) Understands the engineering design and operational aspects of the portfolio's critical facilities, systems, equipment, and occupying critical lines of business. Ensures system critical facility and system shortcomings are identified and understood.

23) Respond promptly to facility-related incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Develop and maintain emergency response plans and ensure team readiness for unexpected events.

24) Must be willing to operate after office hours and public holiday, 24 x 7 available on-call. Under emergency situation return to Data Centre to conduct fault investigation.

25) Any other relevant duties that the Company may assign from time to time.

REQUIREMENT(S)

1) Minimum qualification Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant work experience in any building services ie Facilities Management. Experience in a Data Centre environment or high-tech factory/plant (e.g., semiconductor) managing mission-critical facilities is a plus.

2) Proficient in English through all mediums of communication. Ability to write and review good quality detailed reports of various kinds. Lead meeting and give presentation to customers, conduct training and deliver speech to internal group of staff.

3) Good knowledge of all laws that govern building management and maintenance, including building safety, emergency evacuation and environment protection.

4) Good technical knowledge with hands on knowledge/experience and understanding of critical equipment, including HVAC, Standby emergency power, uninterruptible power supplies, and associated infrastructure.

5) Requires good knowledge of financial terms and principles, forecasting, and budget development.

6) Proficient in computer applications and software, including commercial computerized maintenance management systems, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Literate with AutoCAD is a MUST.

7) Project management and coordinator.

8) Strong and must display confident role. Ability to make propose decision to Management.

9) Engineer focus mind set, result oriented, move forward and successful thinking is required.

10) Flexibility adopts in changes in day-to-day work requirement and multi task oriented.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
