Job Description

Principle Accountabilities

1. Monitor network performance, connectivity, and availability.

2. Provide first-level troubleshooting for network incidents (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, & VPN).

3. Assist in configuring switches, routers, and firewalls under supervision.

4. Support in network documentation (IP address allocation, topology diagrams).

5. Monitor security alerts from antivirus, firewall, and intrusion detection systems.

6. Report any suspicious activities or potential security incidents.

7. Support user account creation, modification, and removal (Active Directory,Microsoft 365).

8. Ensure proper access rights as per Group IT policy.

9. Assist in deployment, monitoring, and updating antivirus/endpoint protection tools.

10. Support in patch management activities.

11. Support the enforcement of Group IT policy and procedures.

12. Assist in periodic compliance checks (password policy, access reviews).

13. Escalate security/network incidents to senior team members.

14. Participate in incident documentation and post-incident reviews.

15. Liase with vendor for troubleshooting support ticket

Basic Qualification

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, Cybersecurity, or related field.

Experience

1 - 2 years of working experience in IT support, networking, or security-related role.

Skills

1. Basic knowledge of networking concepts (IP addressing,LAN/WAN, VPN, & firewall).

2. Familiarity with Windows Server / Active Directory environment.

3. Basic understanding of IT security principles (antivirus, patching, access control).

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Ability to work as part of a team and escalate issues when necessary.

6. Detail-oriented and willing to learn new technologies.

Job Types: Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
