KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible in the planning stage and oversee the Siting Application process for proposed Sarawak Energy projects, ensuring all regulatory and procedural requirements are met.
  • Assist in preparing planning-related documents for regulatory submissions and internal use.
  • Provide timely and comprehensive updates to stakeholders on the progress and status of Siting Applications.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Team to ensure full compliance to the Siting Application Form Checklist, including the preparation and submission of all required documentation and information.
  • Prepare and finalize the submission of the Letter of Intent for Site Applications and eSPA submission, ensuring adherence to the requirements by Land & Survey Department Sarawak and Bintulu Development Authority (BDA).
  • Participate in joint site inspections, offering planning insights and data collection to the Project Team to support decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain tracking systems to monitor the progress of Siting Applications, proactively addressing bottlenecks to ensure timely approvals.
  • Involved in Operational Excellence, Commercial Excellence, Project Delivery Excellence and other KFAs.
CHALLENGES OF THE JOB:
  • Frequent travel to project sites and meetings with regulatory authorities.
  • Manage multiple siting applications and SPA Approval concurrently, while adhering to the tight deadlines.
  • Responsible in preparing slide documentations or graphic visualizations for State Planning Authority (SPA) Meeting.
  • Strong understanding with Sarawak Land Code, Development Control Standard (DCS) and land-use planning.
QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in urban & Town Regional Planning or Construction Management or any other relevant disciplines recognized by Malaysian Institution.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant working experience.
  • Basic understanding of planning principles, with a willingness to develop expertise in land-use strategies and regulatory compliance.

Preference will be given to internal candidate.
