is responsible for managing and coordinating the logistics and documentation for ocean freight shipments. This role ensures efficient and timely transportation of goods, compliance with international shipping regulations, and excellent customer service.
Job Responsibilities:
Shipment Coordination:
Plan and coordinate ocean freight shipments from origin to destination.
Book cargo space with carriers and arrange for pickup and delivery of goods.
Monitor shipment status and provide updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
Monitor, measure, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for vendor performance, ensuring adherence to defined service standards.
Using Station Metrics Cockpit management can see trends in performance over time and compare with other stations / counties.
Documentation and Compliance:
Prepare and process all necessary shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs declarations.
Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies.
Handle import and export documentation and procedures.
