Job Description

:

: * Develop Annual Audit Plan (AAP) for effective audit planning by identifying PSC Contractors, risk profile, key audit areas and setting priorities for all PS Contractors to ensure the Operator\'s financial system and operations in compliance with the PSC and PETRONAS Policy and Procedures to optimize PETRONAS investment. Develop Audit Planning Memorandum (APM) for each PS Contractor by determining areas to be audited, the extent of audit coverage, types of evidence to be accumulated and auditing procedures to be adopted in order to accomplish the audit objectives towards safeguarding PETRONAS\' investment.

• Conduct and implement audit assignments in accordance with the approved Audit Planning Memorandum ( APM ), periodical review and evaluate PS Contractor\'s records and accounts. Analyse, clarify and prepare audit working papers for submission to superior by ensuring factual accuracy and appropriateness of audit issues raised to support decision making and establishment of future audit focus by PMU Management.
• Review, analyse and prepare PETRONAS PSC Accounts and PSC Audit Quarterly Management Reports (QMR) within stipulated time frame to ensure all reports are accurate, complete, reliable and sufficient for endorsement by superior to support audit findings which shall be escalated to the PMU management and PS Contractors for information updates and to support decision making. Review and analyze the disputed costs derived from PSC Audit finding and provide recommendation to superior for timely resolution thus creating value to PETRONAS\' investment.
• Conduct restatement of PSC Accounts and entitlements upon disputes resolution as well as perform ad-hoc compensation validation to PS Contractors based on their entitlement to ensure that PETRONAS interests are always safeguarded. Provide advice evaluate and propose new accounting / financial procedures and practices for implementation by PS Contractors as well as provide relevant recommendation to superior to ensure no adverse fiscal and tax exposures to PETRONAS.
• Conduct ad-hoc financial audit relating to PS Contractor\'s petroleum operations and other critical assignments as and when required as well as to provide support in the decision making (e.g., advice / comment / recommend with respect to cost recovery or other auditing / financial related matters to other stakeholders to ensure PETRONAS financial and fiscal interest is protected.

Qualification:

• Degree in Accounting or Finance.

Requirement

• Possess a professional accounting qualification would be an added advantage.
