JOB PURPOSE

The Community Liaison primary responsibility is ensuring the well-being of each individual resident. The Community Liaison will welcome each new resident in person and conduct well-being checks. They act as first responder for psycho-social support and intervention. They also assist in building relationships and trust within the community by working closely with the Student Resident Council to facilitate community engagement activities. This role also includes communication and administrative tasks like creating posters for the activities and record-keeping.

The Executive should have strong attention to detail, competent design skills and proficient in speaking and writing in English. The Executive should have the resilience and ability to manage multiple tasks at a given time and enjoy working in a highly creative, collaborative and small but fast-moving team.

PRIMARY KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • New Resident Onboarding: Deliver end-to-end onboarding services to new residents including sending templated Welcome emails to students and parents, managing buddies to new international students, overseeing survey responses and conducting wellbeing check-ins to ensure new residents are well adapted.
  • Poster Design and Social Media Management: Creating and designing posters and other promotional materials and managing all social media postings for the department.
  • Performance Database: Update and maintain a comprehensive database of program/event performance by ensuring the number of participants and their post-event feedback or rating is recorded, tabulated and reported in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Resident Attrition: Compile and report on the academic performance of students who check-out of the hostel.
  • General Resident Support: Respond, guide and assist residents with general hostel enquiries and basic psycho-social support.
SECONDARY KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Event Management: Assist with creation of promotional materials and in the planning, coordination, publicity, implementation and evaluation of resident programs and services, led by the Senior Executive or Manager.
  • Case Management: Assist in receiving, responding and referring cases where the residents\' mental and physical health is at risk, in a manner that is respectful, private and non-judgmental.
  • Resident Satisfaction Survey: Assist in delivering surveys to ensure target number of respondents are met; tabulate results and report findings for the Mid-Year and Year-End annual satisfaction survey.
MINIMUM ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

Candidates must possess at least a Diploma, preferably related to Mass Communication, Graphic Design, Event Management, PR or a related discipline.

RELATED EXPERIENCE
  • Fresh graduates welcomed.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
  • Excellent command in written and spoken English
  • Demonstrated design skills including ability to use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Highly meticulous and detailed-oriented with unrelenting focus on accuracy
  • Proficient in data entry, organising and prioritising tasks assigned
  • Effective organisational, stress and time management skills
  • Able to work independently, able to follow instructions and can adhere to deadlines
  • Flexible in the event of occasional long hours or weekend duties, which will be compensated

Hours of Work & Location:
  • Hours of Work: Work will generally be completed Monday-Friday, during office hours, with some evenings and weekends required (which will be compensated)
  • Location: Work will be performed at Taylor\'s Hostel Management Office and U Residence, with occasional meetings, events and workshops outside of the office.
