Job Description

To ensure smooth flow of materials and production schedules by monitoring orders, expediting critical items, and coordinating with suppliers and internal departments to prevent production delays.

Key Responsibilities:



Production Planning & Scheduling Support

Assist in preparing and maintaining production schedules based on forecasts and customer orders. Monitor progress of production orders and identify potential delays. Communicate schedule changes to relevant departments to minimize disruption.

Expediting & Material Follow-up

Track critical raw materials, components, and purchased items to ensure timely delivery. Follow up with suppliers and internal teams to resolve delivery or supply issues. Prioritize urgent materials to prevent production downtime.

Coordination & Communication

Liaise between procurement, warehouse, production, and quality teams to ensure alignment. Provide updates on order status, production readiness, and material availability. Highlight risks or bottlenecks to management for corrective action.

Inventory & Documentation Management

Maintain accurate records of material movement, order status, and production progress. Ensure inventory levels are sufficient to meet production schedules. Support reporting for production performance, supplier delivery, and material status.

Process Improvement

Identify inefficiencies in material flow or scheduling processes. Recommend improvements to streamline production planning and expediting.

On-time delivery of materials to production Production schedule adherence Reduction of production downtime due to material shortages Accuracy of inventory and order tracking Responsiveness to urgent production needs

Qualifications & Skills:



Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related field. 2-5 years of experience in planning, expediting, or materials management. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDE). Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills. Analytical mindset and ability to prioritize critical tasks.

Working Conditions:



Office-based with frequent coordination with production and warehouse teams. May require overtime during peak production or urgent order situations.
Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
