About the job
Be a strong contributor to the IKEA Malaysia Inspiration & Communication team, lead the external communication team, and develop marketing communication, media strategies (online and offline) & public relations to secure that the strategies are executed most effectively and efficiently. You report to the Marketing and PR Manager, IKEA Malaysia, and contribute to campaign creation across Malaysia. The role of external communication is to strengthen the IKEA Brand and its competitive position, and leadership strategies and develop impactful, relevant, and unique executions that help to build a clear brand identity and make optimal use of all relevant media. Your assignment

  • Ensure the focus of successful country advertising campaigns as per the commercial calendar.
  • Secure and manage media buy for the country as well as secure the media effectiveness.
  • Conceptualise, plan, and execute PR events, media launches, and media interviews as necessary to secure strong engagement with the media for each campaign\xe2\x80\x99s launch on a country level.
  • Management of all spokesperson, interviews, and press conferences for the country.
  • Align and secure loyalty members\xe2\x80\x99 communications and execution.
  • Work closely with other functions and the IKEA stores on member-related issues.
  • Manage the process and quality of translations for the country.
  • Responsible to secure the planned marketing budget, accuracy of the marketing budget, expense admin, and monthly reconciliation with finance.

Qualification
Your profile
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in advertising, media planning (online and offline), and public relations.
  • You have a proven ability to work with media and creative agencies and communication processes.
  • You have experience in the effective and efficient use and measurement of all media (paid, owned, and earned).
  • You have a creative mindset and the ability to challenge common ways of thinking.
  • You possess the ability to create insights that are clear, focused, and easily usable.
  • You have strong presentation and communication skills in the English language.
  • You are self-motivated, and responsible, strong ability to influence a management team and matrix organization, and capability to positively influence the business result.
