Job Description

:

Set up and operate the CMM to measure parts and components according to blueprints, drawings, 3D models and specifications. Develop and write programs for automated measurement on CMM machines (using software like PC-DMIS or similar). Create measurement plans and set up procedures for new parts, ensuring efficient use of CMM machines. Operate image machine and perform dimensional inspections on products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CMM equipment, software, hardware, or measurement processes. Providing training and guidance to other team members on the use of CMM technology. Ensure all the measurement and inspection tools or equipment's are completed calibration before use. Analyze measurement data to detect trends, inconsistencies, or defects in parts and components. Work closely with production teams to understand product specifications, requirements and identify any potential weaknesses in the design or material choice that may have led to failure. Manage QC teams and ensure measurements align with design specifications and manufacturing processes.

Job Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in quality management, industrial engineering, manufacturing or related field (preferred). Proven experience as a CMM programmer or industrial quality control specialist. Strong technical knowledge of CMM programming, including experience with various measurement software and data analysis tools. Expertise in using measurement and inspection tools (Eg. CMM, Image machines, calipers and other precision measuring devices). Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances analysis. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams. Commitment to quality, attention to detail, and a strong focus on continuous improvement.
