Job Description

1. Education

Bachelor's degree or above in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Facade Engineering, or a related discipline

2. Experience

3 years

and above of relevant experience in facade / building envelope design or coordination Experience with high-rise buildings, mixed-use developments, hotels, or large-scale commercial projects Proven experience coordinating with architects, structural engineers, facade consultants, and contractors Familiarity with the full facade design lifecycle from

concept, schematic design, detailed design, to construction and handover

3. Technical Knowledge

Strong understanding of facade systems, including: Unitized and stick curtain wall systems Glass, aluminium, stone, metal panel, GRC/GFRC facades) Ability to review and coordinate: Facade shop drawings and design drawings System details, sections, and interfaces Engineering calculations (wind load, deflection, thermal performance, structural behaviour)

4. Design & Software Skills

Proficient in

AutoCAD

Experience with

Revit / BIM

is highly preferred Knowledge of

Rhino / Grasshopper

Inventor

is an advantage for complex facade geometries Strong ability to review drawings and coordinate interfaces between facade, architectural, structural, and MEP systems

5. Coordination & Communication

Capable of acting as the main point of contact between architects, facade consultants, contractors, and site teams Strong communication, presentation, and meeting coordination skills Ability to manage RFIs, design changes, and technical clarifications effectively Proven capability in resolving design conflicts through multidisciplinary coordination

6. Site & Construction Experience

Hands-on experience during the facade construction phase is preferred Understanding of facade installation sequences, QA/QC procedures Ability to support site teams with technical solutions and design clarifications

7. Management & Responsibility

Ability to manage facade design schedules and align with overall project milestones Experience in reviewing, tracking, and managing technical submissions and approvals Prior experience leading small coordination or design teams is an advantage

8. Language & Other Requirements

Good command of written and spoken English Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment and on construction sites Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and sense of responsibility

9. Preferred Qualifications

Background with facade consultants or reputable facade contractors BIM-based facade detailing and coordination experience

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
