Job Description


JOB PURPOSE

The Manager, FM Operation & Engineering is responsible to coordinate and manage the facilities management operations for Taylor\'s University to achieve profit targets and to optimise the asset values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

\xe2\x96\xaaTo manage the day to day operations of the campus through good practices and effective control systems.
\xe2\x96\xaaTo respond to complaints & break downs to ensure downtime is always minimized.
\xe2\x96\xaaTo provide facilities management practices and effective control system for mechanical and electricalassets with the aid of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS).
\xe2\x96\xaaEnsure the effective and efficient use of the CMMS for FM site operations management.
\xe2\x96\xaaTo plan, prepare and conduct periodic operations audit of technical (mechanical & electrical services) &non- technical (housekeeping, pest control & landscape maintenance) FM services at Lakeside Campusto ensure regulatory compliances and provide recommendations for compliance & continuousimprovement.
\xe2\x96\xaaTo provide support on quality management of outsourced contracts to ensure building equipment, campusenvironment inclusive of Landscape are maintained property.
\xe2\x96\xaaTo assist benchmark facilities operating costs efficiency amongst Group facilities & industry.
\xe2\x96\xaaTo coordinate, implement, monitor and report energy conservation initiative.
\xe2\x96\xaaTo provide monthly management updates on major FM concerns, challenges, and implementations.
\xe2\x96\xaaTo implement preventive maintenance for the efficient upkeep of the campus.
\xe2\x96\xaaTo maximise the building value by implementing proper operating and capital control systems.
\xe2\x96\xaaTo minimise energy losses and to ensure safe efficient working of all electrical and mechanical equipment.
\xe2\x96\xaaAssist to ensure that maintenance of vacant properties is carried out in accordance to EngineeringStandards and Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
\xe2\x96\xaaConduct conditional appraisal of M&E and related Assets.
\xe2\x96\xaaProvide any other facilities management support as required by the institutions within the group.
\xe2\x96\xaaTo conduct regular assessment & audit to ensure all facilities / equipment are all well maintained andgood working condition.
\xe2\x96\xaaTo support project management team in overseeing projects and renovation works in the campus
\xe2\x96\xaaOversee and manage events set-up for Lakeside Campus
\xe2\x96\xaaTo be in-charge of Sg. Buloh medical school facilities management matter
\xe2\x96\xaaTo ensure all administration and procedures meet company standard operating procedures, contractualand ISO requirements.

To provide support to the Vice President of Facilities, EHS & Security and Administration in mattersrelating to Administration as and when needed
\xe2\x96\xaaAssist in any other duties which may be assigned by the Vice President of Facilities EHS & Security and Administration.

KEY COMPETENCIES

\xe2\x96\xaaCompetent in mechanical and electrical building maintenance services with strong analytical and trouble-shooting capabilities.
\xe2\x96\xaaPossess knowledge in Facilities Management processes & procedure.
\xe2\x96\xaaFamiliar with local building by-laws.
\xe2\x96\xaaStrong working knowledge in energy conservation. Preferably with experience in mitigation of carbonfootprint.
\xe2\x96\xaaExperienced in conducting energy efficiency audits.
\xe2\x96\xaaKnowledge in green building technology would be an added advantage.
\xe2\x96\xaaAble to read and interpret engineering drawings.
\xe2\x96\xaaProven skillsets in FM Audit (M&E) and root cause analysis.
\xe2\x96\xaaAbility to plan and set priorities and deadlines.
\xe2\x96\xaaAble to handle large volumes of work while

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualification
\xe2\x96\xaaAt least a bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
\xe2\x96\xaaRelated qualification in Facilities Management and Energy Management will be an added advantage.
Related Experience
\xe2\x96\xaaMinimum 5- 8 years of working experience in Integrated Facility Management overseeing a large teamof engineers and technicians.
\xe2\x96\xaaRelated experience in the education and services industry such as in the hospitality, healthcare andbanking will per preferred.
\xe2\x96\xaaKnowledge and experience in implementing Engineering Standards.
Competencies
\xe2\x96\xaaGood interpersonal skills with strong analytical and trouble-shooting capabilities.
\xe2\x96\xaaAble to work independently with minimum supervision.
\xe2\x96\xaaCompetent command in both spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
\xe2\x96\xaaProficient in report writing and presentations.
\xe2\x96\xaaProficient in Microsoft Office.
\xe2\x96\xaaGood attention to detail.
\xe2\x96\xaaAbility to work on own initiatives and to operate under tight schedules and deadlines.
