Job Description


RESPONSIBILITIES .Responsible for ensuring the facility is operating as it should on daily basis by managing the team and track monitoring systems relevant to the operation to ensure output is met. . To complete daily inspections and communicate directly with decision makers to ensure business runs smoothly. . In charge in the general upkeep and maintenance of buildings to ensure that they meet health and safety standards and the legal requirements. Generally, be involved in anything that breaches the safety, security. or usability of the facilities. . Responsible for coming up with contingency plans regarding what needs to be done in the event certain situations occur - eg. equipment breaks down unexpectedly. . To liaise with equipment supplier and utility providers on technical matter. Emphasis on equipment reliability, availability and cost-reduction. . Identify operational resource requirements to meet the needs of the operation while managing the budgets and keeping records. . To develop, motivate and challenge the team members to perform their full potential, providing direct and timely feedback for the benefit of the company and culturally embedded mentality. . Overseeing and accountable for fulfilment of the implementation of all activities in the facility scope of works to achieve the quality objectives and key performance indicators. . Overseeing building projects, renovations or refurbishments. To plan ahead for any necessary replacements and repairs, to schedule necessary maintenance and management tasks during times that are least likely to disrupt the business. KEY DRIVERS Provide Technical Support, advise, manage, follow up and assist Operation/Main team to resolve day to day arisen issue. Facilitate Operation, Maintenance to solve escalation issued from Facility tech or production team or any customers (Operation / Maintenance). To monitor PDCA for all arising matters. Manage ISO 50001 system. Data compilation, analysis, energy review, energy monitoring, future projection, Energy performance Indicators review, Significant Energy Used and prepare report Update manual, procedure & check sheet. Ensure all in place. Energy related matters : Energy conservation initiatives(every 6 monthly submission on monthly saving) Energy report submission to Energy Commission every 6 monthly for energy performance monitoring. Provide info, data and validate report for REEM Manage and drive Operation and Main team on energy objective and target implementation Major project and major service maintenance planning, ensure all system maintenance and calibration updated and comply to regulation. Plan the maintenance schedule and ensure it comply to requirements, PDCA for project and major maintenance. Ensuring all facility system in place. Liaise with Authorities. New regulation update, arrangement on inspection( Authority and competent person ) , process payment, competent person registration. Enhance existing Utilities system and identify opportunities for improvement. Monitor Equipment performance and explore latest technology . Buy off and New project Utility supply designed and ensure comply to authority , safety and insurance requirements. New production line set up, machine hook-up, new office design, new process set up Attend meeting ,daily morning briefing and monthly Facility walk. Monitor project progress update, night shift activity ,arrangement on facility work request form, escalate issues. Manage Non PO (framework management - contracts). Check all the invoice submit by AP, approval process, validation for scope of works. Manage all contracts (framework - contracts). Validation for scope of works before approval process, new contract (RFQ), monitoring job function reliability & feasibility, improvement or reduction on quality, cost, delivery, manpower & safety. Liaise with contractors for corrective / preventive action plans, Planning and cascade down to engineers& technicians. Train operation /maintenance team to find the root cause, explaining the real problem, discuss the countermeasure for the problem, costing, proposal, approval from management, PDCA process, validation process. Planning for implementation of new project for improvement or sustainability purposes. Understand the system requirement, current system capacity/ ability, responsible for system design as per requirement, CAPEX approval documentation, fix asset documentation, PDCA, validation process. Manpower arrangement. Responsible for segregating/planning work and job rotation in order to establish multitasking team and not dependent to one manpower, succession planning, career improvement planning, section roadmap. Minimize Purchase Order for repairing job, internal repair. (cost saving). To check the severity and feasibly study to implement in house work. REQUIREMENTS . Candidate must possess minimum of Bachelor\'s Degree Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent. . At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. . Preferably Senior Engineer specializing in Maintenance/Repair (Facilities and HVAC systems ) or equivalent. . Posses hands-on facility systems experience. . Experienced in AutoCad and exposed to manufacturing environment. Preferable registered energy manager (REEM) . Must have good management skills, communication and interpersonal skills and attention to details. . Experienced and possess knowledge in electrical, mechanical and building. . Project management skills and multitasking ability. . Strong command and writing in English and Bahasa Malaysia
