Job Description
Job title: FACILITIES TECHNICIAN Summary/Objective The Facilities Technician\xe2\x80\x99s role is to monitor and to follow-up on the overall spectrum of facility maintenance program/matters Essential Functions/ Responsibilities.
- Maintenance of IH facility infrastructure
- Ensure basic utilities are maintained \xe2\x80\x93 water, lights
- Illumination & retrofit
- Surge protector management & monitoring
- Energy management & monitoring
- Correction of Hazard \xe2\x80\x93 roof leaks, etc.
Recycling program & facility cleanliness
- Ensure recycling routines are maintained - ensure wastes are properly segregated and disposed.
- Grounds / landscape management
- Pest controls & trash removal
EHS, Environmental, Health & Safety
- Operations environmental functions
- Plant Health function
- Plant & operations safety function
- Chemical storage and handling
- Inspection of First Aid Kit, Eye Wash Station & AED.
- Others
- IH Fire Fighting system
- Furniture disposal
- Procurement of maintenance & repair supplies and/or services
- MSDS system update & maintenance
- Spill Kit Inspection \xe2\x80\x93 management
Special projects;as and when instructed by Management/Supervisor.- Adheres to all Samtec Quality Principles and actions
Required Experience
- 3 years in related / similar position
- Engineering Diploma / related technical or equivalent experience.
