Job Summary

The Facility Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance across electrical, plumbing, and general building systems to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant facility operations. This role supports day-to-day troubleshooting, repairs, and upkeep of company premises, equipment, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Maintenance

Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including lighting, power outlets, switches, and distribution boards. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical panels, wiring, and fixtures. Assist in installation of new electrical equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Plumbing Maintenance

Repair and maintain plumbing systems including water supply lines, drainage, toilets, sinks, and water heaters. Respond to leaks, blockages, and pressure issues promptly. Conduct routine inspections and preventive servicing of plumbing fixtures.

General Maintenance

Perform minor carpentry, painting, and masonry work as needed. Maintain HVAC systems, doors, windows, and other structural components. Monitor facility cleanliness and safety, reporting hazards or damage.

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs. Ensure all work complies with local safety regulations and company SOPs. Support audits and statutory inspections (e.g., DOSH, BOMBA) where applicable.
Requirements

Certificate or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Maintenance (SKM Level 2/3 preferred). Minimum 2 years' experience in facility or building maintenance. Familiarity with Malaysian safety codes and building regulations. Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints. Physically fit and able to work at heights or in confined spaces. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
