Job Vacancy: Factory Supervisor cum Safety Officer (Chemical Manufacturing)

We are looking for a qualified, highly motivated, and responsible individual to join our team as a Factory Supervisor cum Safety Officer (Chemical Manufacturing)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Factory supervisor

Ensure all operators perform their daily routine tasks correctly and efficiently. Supervise operators' performance and provide guidance when needed. Plan and manage operators' work schedules to ensure smooth production flow. Coordinate closely with office admin regarding incoming raw materials and outgoing deliveries. Monitor and maintain sufficient stock levels for raw materials and finished goods. Maintain factory cleanliness (by ensuring operators follow routine cleaning duties). Ensure all machines and equipment are running efficiently; arrange weekly or monthly maintenance. Familiarize with company SOPs and production processes to train and manage operator performance effectively. To report to manager immediately if any raw materials or finished goods have quality issues. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to implement contingency plans to ensure smooth operations.

2. Safety Officer

Workplace Safety & Compliance

Ensure the factory complies with related regulatory requirements Maintain and update MSDS for all chemicals Oversee proper chemical handling, storage, and disposal Manage spill prevention measures and coordinate spill response procedures Conduct safety training for operators (PPE, chemical handling, emergency procedures) Organize fire drills, chemical spill drills, and safety awareness activities Investigate accidents and near-misses, propose corrective actions Prepare incident reports and maintain compliance documentation Ensure effective contingency plans are in place Inspect and maintain safety equipment (eyewash stations, spill kits, detectors, etc.) Ensure machinery complies with safety standards Implement and review safety policies, SOPs, and emergency response plans Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments

Requirements:

Male, physically fit. Minimum 2-3 years experience in factory operations or supervision (preferred). Able to handle problems independently and develop contingency plans when needed. Strong leadership skills and able to supervise a team of operators. Good communication skills to coordinate with office admin and management. Basic knowledge of machine operation, production flow, and safety procedures. Able to plan, manage, and adjust work schedules for operators. Familiar with SOPs and able to train operators accordingly. Responsible, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision. Physically fit and willing to work in a factory environment. Basic computer skills (record keeping, simple reporting) is an added advantage. Safety training or safety-related certification is a bonus. Experience in manufacturing safety (chemical industry preferred) Knowledge of DOSH / OSHA / DOE requirements Familiar with chemical MSDS, hazard controls & PPE Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
