Job Overview:

Urban Farm Tech is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Farm Production Supervisor to oversee and enhance the daily operations of our smart farm. This role is key to ensuring efficient farm production, seedling management, and the continuous development of urban farming models for educational and community impact. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organized, and passionate about sustainable agriculture and innovation in urban farming.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Farm Production Operations

Supervise and ensure smooth execution of all farm activities including seed germination, transplanting, growth monitoring, harvesting, and post-harvest cleaning.

Maintain high-quality crop care standards throughout all growth stages.

2. Production Planning & Yield Optimization

Plan and implement monthly farm production schedules to increase output and reduce waste.

Monitor performance data to continuously improve farm efficiency and yield.

3. Seedling Production & Service Support

Manage germination and seedling production processes.

Coordinate and prepare seedling supply for internal use and the service/installation team according to project requests and timelines.

4. Customer & Logistics Coordination

Communicate with customers to schedule and coordinate timely pickup of produce.

Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and quality control of all outgoing goods.

5. Farm Cleanliness & Hygiene

Maintain a clean and orderly farm environment, ensuring all biosecurity and hygiene standards are met.

Conduct regular inspections and staff reminders to uphold cleanliness protocols.

6. Crop Health & Organic Pest Management

Monitor crop health daily and respond to early signs of pests or disease.

Implement organic pest control methods and ensure pest management records are kept up to date.

7. Farm System Upgrades & Educational Integration

Propose and implement improvements or upgrades to existing urban farm setups.

Introduce new types of urban farming systems (e.g., aquaponics, vertical farming towers) to support education, training, and community outreach goals.

8. Reporting & Team Communication

Submit weekly operational and yield reports to the superior.

Collaborate closely with farm assistants, the service team, and management to ensure aligned goals and transparent operations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
