We are a leading plus size fashion brand in Malaysia, specializing in providing fashionable and comfortable clothing for plus size women. We are seeking for a talented and passionate

Fashion Designer

with a strong background in the local modest fashion industry. The ideal candidate should be should be up-to-date with the latest developments and trends shaping the fashion industry, possess excellent collaboration and communication skills, and be able to effectively combine both marketing and fashion design expertise to produce sales. The candidate should be creative, detail-oriented and have a passion for designing beautiful and functional clothing. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and creating garments that are on-trend to meet the needs of our customers.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Create innovative designs and collections that are trend-driven, cohesive and aligned with the brand aesthetic and target markets. Conduct research on market trends, competitor activities and customer feedback for the development of designs and merchandising strategies. Develop and sketch design concepts, color schemes, and fabric selections. Create technical sketches, tech packs and specifications to communicate design concepts to the production team. Ensure that designs are aligned with the brand's product calendar and meet with the company's quality standards. Participate in fitting sessions and work with the merchandising team to ensure that the designs are executed accurately. Collaborate with the Marketing and Design team to develop marketing and promotional materials for new collections. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and developments in the modest fashion industry. Able to do graphic design & illustration for various collections.

REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design or related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in fashion design, with a strong background in local modest fashion. Preferably with baju raya design experience. Experience in designing for plus size women is a plus. Fluent with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Multimedia Design, etc. Able to work independently, from concept, visual to final artwork (FA). Strong sketching and technical design skills. Strong knowledge of the latest fashion trends and developments. Knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and production processes. Exceptional communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills. Passionate, creative and dedicated in delivering high-quality designs. Sensitive and passionate about solving plus size wardrobe malfunction. Ability to create original and eye-catching designs that appeal to our target market. Excellent time management and organizational skills, able to prioritize and meet deadlines. Required language: English, Bahasa Malaysia. Excellent communication in Mandarin (read, write and write) is an added advantage. Skills in Photography / basic in web design, HTML/CSS will be an added advantage.
