Job Description

-Work strategically with QIAGEN Sales and Commercial Partners in Malaysia and across the Asia-Pacific region

-Support key accounts and early access customers, delivering scientific software demonstrations for groups of various sizes

-Conduct software evaluations, data analysis, and product training

-Other activities to help customers and prospects to understand the value of the QDI portfolio of applications, content, and services.

-Home-office, field-based role, ideally based in Kuala Lumpur

-Travel 30-60% of the time, including overnight stays across the Asia-Pacific region, with periods of both heavier and lighter travel.

Position Requirements

-Ph.D. or equivalent plus at least 1-2 years of professional experience

-Ideally in secondary analysis or interpretation of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data in a clinical context

-Training and education of other scientists in the use of bioinformatics applications preferred

-Scientific demonstrations on defined case studies to showcase the value and effectiveness of bioinformatics software applications within the context of the prospective customer\'s NGS workflows

-Experience in clinical NGS data analysis

-Interpretation of large molecular datasets such as DNA-Seq or RNA-Seq, and enjoy engaging in scientific discussions with customers and cultivate relationships

-Exceptional written, presentation, and verbal skills, including strong public speaking experience in English

-Proactive, self-starter with evidence of strong analytical and problem-solving skills and bring the ability to handle

-Manage multiple tasks in a result-orientated, dynamic, collaborative commercial environment
