As a Field Operation Technician specializing in Telecommunication Networks, you will be an essential part of our team responsible for the maintenance and operation of our telecommunications infrastructure. You will work closely with engineers and other technicians to ensure the optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency of our network systems. This role will require working at heights as well as traveling to various sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Maintenance: Assist in performing routine maintenance tasks, including equipment inspections, testing, and repairs, to uphold the integrity and functionality of our telecommunication network systems.

2. Equipment Installation: Assist in the installation and configuration of active and passive network elements, such as eNodeB, transmission (TX) wired and wireless equipment, cables, connectors, and enclosures, under the guidance of senior technicians or engineers.

3. Troubleshooting Support: Provide support in identifying and resolving network issues, employing troubleshooting techniques and diagnostic tools to minimize downtime and service disruptions.

4. Passive Infrastructure Management: Assist in managing passive infrastructure components, including cables, connectors, fiber optic distribution panels, enclosures, and other M&E elements, such as diesel generators (gensets) for backup power, air conditioning units for climate control, and surveillance cameras for physical security, to facilitate signal transmission, connectivity, and provide backup power within the network infrastructure.

5. Site Visits: Accompany senior technicians or engineers on-site visits to various locations, including cell towers, rooftops, and other elevated structures, to assist with installations, upgrades, and maintenance tasks.

6. Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures when working at heights and handling network equipment, ensuring personal safety and compliance with industry regulations.

7. Documentation: Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventories, and site assessments to support effective management of network assets.

8. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal teams, including Field Operation Engineers, Network Operations Center (NOC) staff, and project managers, to execute planned activities and address network-related issues efficiently.

Qualifications:

1. Diploma or Associate degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

2. Previous experience in a technical role, preferably in a telecommunication or networking environment, would be advantageous.

3. Basic understanding of telecommunication protocols and networking principles.

4. Willingness to work at heights and in challenging outdoor environments under the supervision and guidance of experienced personnel.

5. Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

7. Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations and procedures related to working at heights.

8. Flexibility to travel to various sites and work outside of regular business hours as needed.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
